The Tool

Sony Ericsson K800i CyberSHOT phone
A picture paints a thousand words
So why not make it the best picture every time, with auto focus, built-in Xenon flash, image and video stabiliser function and BestPic™?

The CYBERShot
The 3.2 MEGA pixel camera captures astonishing images in clarity. Of course they should be in well lit situation, but when in comes to pitch darkness, the XENON flash take over. XENON flash is the flash used in still cameras digital or film. Aside from the auto mode, the CYRBETShot also come in with other modes such as the BestPic where it takes a few snapshots before the actual click, during, and releasing. Twilight Landscape and Portrait for dim situation, without the flash turning on. The CYBERShot also comes with preset of frames where you could play with your shot, and some other effects such as Panorama (where it interlaces 3 shots to get an almost 180 degree view), Black and White to enhance photographic effects, Sepia for antique look, and Solarize for that scary flared effect or something. Add to that some other settings like metering mode where it enhances shadows at the spot pointed at. WHite balance to set the light balance in a super lit situation like a sunny beach or snowy mountain. And one GREAT thing I personally love about this phone is that it can zoom in 8x without resizing the image. The image taken at 3Mpx(megapixel) is the same size as the zoomed pic taken at 3Mpx. Unlike the 6280 it, resizes it/CROPS it! Though it's not a forward competitor, my mom owns one and she envies me because i can zoom and not resize the pic... hehe'
The 3.2 MEGA pixel camera is not just a camera, it can also take videos! The length of the video taken with the camera is limited to the size of your memory (the high quality ones). And 10 secs if you want to send it as MMS(Multimedia Message). It records at QCIF format/176x132 size or something like that. Co'z obviously it's not a video camera, its sole purpose is for still. And it does a great job on being a still camera.. Well, great images too for the videos..

The Phone
The phone features pretty awesome, great fun games, friendly user interface, very clean too. Unlike RAZR's or Nokia's. Some users dislike the User Interface for being slow... it is because it add motion effects to the highlighter unlike others where it just pops out the menu... XD. This phone is visual! wOot!
Messaging, you just have to get use to the keypad. Well, from a 3530 user/6280/RAZR user, its keypad is quite shrunk, unlike the others where the buttons are far appart, the K800i's keys are small, but hey, at least my screen is bigger than my keys. hehe' Here's a little secret, the phone can store up to whopping 988 messages in it's shared message memory.. don't ask how i counted it because traditionally you can't. I'll tell you anyway. I got this UNLIMITXT promo from Globe (a Telecom Network in the Philippines) [send UNLIMITXT to 2870] where i can literally unlimited to any globe user in locally. (15 pesos for 24-hour unlimited, 25-pesos for 2-day unlimitxt, and 50 pesos for 5-days unlimited texting). I got this friend of mine since High School and we've been txting alot lately, he's got a globe too. I went overboard and txt'd him every now and then, even just to reply "k", "hehe", "g'nyt", "ahahhaha", "ah...", so short.. hehe' I saved all incoming messages, as well as my sent items (automatically saved when you successfully send a message). Then I got to the point where it alerts me to erase my message because it got to the point of 95%, i didn't. Little by little, i got the margin smaller until it really alert me that my mailbox is full, the figures magically appeared in a list, totalling 988 messages. i think it's 654 inbox and 334 sent items, i deleted some though...
3G -- i successfully established a video call with my mom, once and it was good. Still can't utilize the full 3g network here in the Philippines co'z no body is using it quite often and the networks "ARE BIASED ABOUT NOKIA's!!!!!" disregarding others "BETTER" handsets like Sony Ericsson and Motorola.
Going around is that simple, just use common sense and logic. Can't find the radio? Does the radio entartain? Then it's in the entertainment section. hehe' They moved the radio from the 1st level menu to Entertainment to make way for the Media Player. Here's a feature that you may wanna visit quite often if you're board and wanna be excited(if you're a text addict) or dismayed(if not a txt addict). Go to Menu -> Settings -> Calls tab -> Time & Cost -> Message Counter. It counts your total sent messages! As for this day jan 7, 2007, i sent 2182 messages!! since Nov. 11, 2006!
THE Media Player! Are like the media player in Walkman Phones, without the MegaBass. which means, you get a phone, a camera, and a walkman/mp3/media player... COOL, asteg! And when your not contented with it's big 64MB internal memory, you can also buy 1GB Memory Stick Micro M2 cards! A whole lotta music and a whole lotta pictures to take at your hearts desire!
Calls menu gives you the last 10 callers, called, and miss called, and a summary of all.
The File Manager, organizes you file, from the images taken with the camera album or any media received, pictures, music, recorded sounds, and other documents.
Games are so fun for kids and kids at heart. The Golf and The Tennis teaches you to focus and improve your reaction abilities, while the Fishing game helps you be patient.. and catch the fish!
Still Bored? How about making your own ringtone? With the MusicDJ, you can make you own funky ringtone for messages, calls, are even just jamming with friends and sharing to others! Still bored? How about your own MTV or karaoke? With the Video DJ, you can record a video, slice them, add captions, insert music, and voila! you have your own MTV!
Still not high tech enough? How about the Presenter, MediaPlayer controller, and the Desktop contoller. You can control you Windows Media Player or WinAmp using your phone! or better yet your mouse cursor! Coupled with a bluetooth adaptor, you can control your computer!! For the tech savvy, your phone is now a Human Interface Device... hehe' You can access these services through Entertainment -> Remote Control. Yeah, they're in entertainment.. hehe'
Can't wake up? Why not use your fave MP3 or radio staion to wake you up? It's in the Alarms under Organizer. and also, you could make 5 recurrent alarms for your, obviously, recurring alarms such as take a bath, brush teeth, watch TV, or something feed the dog even...
Notes - your digital grocery list! save your notes in the notes and you can shop with a digital grocery list.
Contacts - can save almost everything, including vital statistics (in the info section) you can also add a Picture of the contact and it will appear when he/she calls you or even txtS you! cool, and another thing VIDEO RINGTONES. yes, you can use you fave Videos as ringtones and contact tone! sweet~

I got nothing more to say, I'm just excited about this phone. Can't stop using it...

You can buy it from my friends there at at the Sony Ericsson shop located at 1st Floor Food court Robinson's Galleria Ortigas Center Pasig City. at the Tech Zone of the mall, left wing facing the department store, in front of Yellow Cab, Siemens, beside Nokia N-gallery/shop.
Tell the saleslady there that Francis/Luigi sent you there, they know me, and they'll gladly entertain you.
It's around Php 21,000 when my mom and my tita(auntie) bought it for me ^^, (Nov 11, 2006), and they even gave me a leather SE lace, P2,000 discount on Memory Stick Micro M2, a P5,000 discount for a SE Photo Printer! They're so nice, aren't they?!

So, much for introductions...
Sorry for the boring topic, can't get my presentations done nicely, the Philippines international communications are crap because of the earthquake in Taiwan breaking subsea communication cables at late last month (Dec 29?) still crappy up to now (Jan 7) I am praying that they could fix it at once, it's hell for me! and for others as well!
I really wanted to share pictures at once but i can't seem to upload them easily in my flickr account... or in any account other than imageshack which is quite easy to use and at least faster...
