If I had this I wouldn't be using it much like the iPod touch that I've bought for my mom. It hasn't been used for 7 months.. lol I did enjoy reading those rumors. It's sad that something that would have been cool didn't make their way to the device. Some things like: built-in SD card expansion slot, removable batteries, front facing camera. But looking at Apple's trend. They don't want to make people to open things, it complicates things for lesser knowledgeable people, or hard to pick up on things people. I think I'll just buy the latest iPod touch... XD

It's gonna revolutionize gaming eventually with partnership with GameLoft and EA games. The name is ok with me but some feel awkward especially if it sound like women's feminine napkins... The thing looks more like a digital photo frame to me than a tablet. The frame spacing (screen to edge) distance is really handy while holding the device. Some of the readers don't like it but it's quite useful in holding the device. What amazed me is the 10 hour battery life. It wasn't stated if it's for games, surfing the net, video, or playing music straight but still. And than 1 month standby time is just simply crazy. Given the size of the device, it's really great that it doesn't have a back camera. It's awkward to see people in the street point that big device around. Although a front-facing camera would be big BIG plus. I won't buy this now because, as you know, Apple has a track record of upgrading things quite fast. Basically the device is a big iPod touch. With word processing feature and paint. I would want this if someone gives it to me. LOL What I liked about this is the customized background of the home screen. I would have guessed that it had a bigger icons. But I did not imagine it having a dock at the bottom similar to OS X. The iPad website is now up. I'll post a specs from the website soon. [Ano daw?] Sun Microsystems unsubscribe form

Part of [Ano daw?] series. A series of ambiguous things... Recently Sun Miscrosystems had been spamming me with discount offers and seminar. What annoys me is that they haven't done this last year. It just happen to start this year. So I decided to unsubscribe.

*   I do not wish to receive email communications from Sun on . *   I no longer wish to receive any email from Sun. Please add my name to the do not email list.
I don't see much difference from "I do not wish to receive email..." and "I no longer wish to receive any email..."

WIKIPEDIA layout broken?

I tried to surf Wikipedia a while ago and I noticed that the layout is all wrong. There is no background image. The sidebar is missing. Tabs are missing. Here are 6 screenshots of 3 sites: english Heroes, english Macross Frontier, and tagalog Jose Rizal. The current screenshot (left) is taken around Jan. 14, 2010 at 10:45PM PHT while on the right is the cached page of the same site from Google. But the good thing is the site is still usable. Maybe they're upgrading the layout. But hopefully they're not being hacked or something... UPDATE[10:57PM]: Wikipedia is back on track. And nothing changed haha!

Presidential Candidate invades... GOOGLE ADS!!

while composing an email from my gmail account i notice this rather out of place advertisement... it says Get to Know... so I was curious as to who it is... It was... alam mo na! I wouldn't write his name here because it will generate him traffic hahah Kung hindi ka ba naman nagsasawa sa TV advertisement nya na lumalabas sa every 10 minutes makikita mo pa rin siya sa GOOGLE ADS!! Some advertisements are cool. Some propaganda are cool. But man when it is time for Philippine election my home country is the last place I wanna be at. O.o It's not that I don't wanna do something about the country. It's just that I don't wanna see them do what they do to my country!!

The Google Nexus One phone

All the hype has been going on about Google creating its own branded phone since 2006. And now it's definitely here. The Google Nexus Phone. Google Nexus One Currently being offered in the US for $529 (Php 25,000) contract-free, or $179 (Php 8,500) with 2 year contract with T-mobile. (only one plan is available - $79.99 (Php 4,000) per month rate, which includes unlimited texting/MMS, web data and 500 talk minutes with unlimited nights and weekends) ^ Technical Specifications: Size and weight Height: 119mm Width:  59.8mm Depth:  11.5mm Weight: 130 grams w/ battery, 100g w/o battery Display 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen 800 x 480 pixels 1ms typical response rate Power and battery Removable 1400 mAH battery Charges at 480mA from USB, at 980mA from supplied charger Talk time: Up to 10 hours on 2G, Up to 7 hours on 3G Standby time: Up to 290 hours on 2G, Up to 250 hours on 3G Internet use: Up to 5 hours on 3G, Up to 6.5 hours on Wi-Fi Video playback: Up to 7 hours Audio playback: Up to 20 hours Processor Qualcomm QSD 8250 1 GHz Camera & Flash 5 megapixels Autofocus from 6cm to infinity 2X digital zoom LED flash User can include location of photos from phone's AGPS receiver Video captured at 720x480 pixels at 20 frames per second or higher, depending on lighting conditions Operating system Android Mobile Technology Platform 2.1 (Eclair) Capacity 512MB Flash 512MB RAM bundled 4GB Micro SD Card (Expandable to 32 GB) Wireless Connectivity UMTS Band 1/4/8 (2100/AWS/900) HSDPA 7.2Mbps HSUPA 2Mbps GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR A2DP stereo Bluetooth Location Service Assisted global positioning system (AGPS) receiver Cell tower and Wi-Fi positioning Digital compass Accelerometer The screen size is definitely a plus. And it's AMOLED! Another pluses here are digital compass, 802.11n, bundled 4GB, Android 2.1, and the 1GHz processor. (This processor is faster than my netbook lol) Take note though that this doesn't have a front-facing camera (like the iPhone) unlike other smartphones. Although who uses them anyway? I have had 3G phones with front facing camera since 2007 (k800i, k600i, w980i, Omnia II) and just used it once (k600i) back in 2007. And the OS is really fast and responsive. Have a look at these first videos: I had contacted Globe about this but they haven't replied to me. But come to think of it they are offering the iPhone so its competitor maybe out of the picture. Smart? Probably. This could be the iPhone killer some of us had been waiting for. Or maybe not. My reason why the iPhone could not have a real competitor is the responsiveness of the OS. I own an iPod touch and have used the iPhone. And currently owning an Omnia II. Even though the Omnia II has a faster processor and a bigger ram than my iPod touch, it's sluggish. Takes me 2-3 seconds to open the 3-page home page. Than the 1-2 seconds 4-pager iPod touch. And it's not just the home page, just about everywhere you are to open an app. Currently the Nexus One is not available in the Philippines but I hope it would be anytime sooner. I'll definitely buy one (or two) of these. And ditch my Omnia II. Nexus One not available in the Philippines yet I should have waited for this! But back then when I bought my Omnia II (a month ago!) this was just a rumor. I really do hope this becomes available here in the Philippines before my birthday! (Mar 22) hahaha Btw, I could seem to make work the GPS function of my Omnia II for geo tagging (without the using assistance of cell towers and connectivity via 2g/3g).

I will be a Hero this 2010

2010 marks the beginning of a new decade. Though every years is a start of something new, 2010 comes only once so we must make history. This will be my post for Be a Hero in 2010 Contest. It's my new year's resolution for the country. 1. I will not depend my life on the government. I will cultivate the society on my own. Ako mismo ba. 2. I will be an advocate to people who helps other before themselves. 3. I will vote wisely. ---- I'm tired of hearing those people who always blames the government for their mishaps. Please! Grow-up! Kung gusto nyong magkatrabaho magsikap kayong matanggap! Hindi na lang sinisisi ang gobyerno kung bakit wala silang trabaho. Try to be qualified for the work, for God's sake! TESDA has been promoting their work for scholarship program! They also give livelihood trainings, for FREE! You won't lose from gaining something. Help other help others. Tulungan ang mga taong tumutulong. Vote those candidates not for their cheesy TV ads but for their track records. Most of those candidates have had ample time to make their "visions" to reality while sitting at their positions, chairmans, senators, and all.
