When I was passing by Greenbelt 3 to get to Greenbelt 1, I noticed a "new" Globe hub on the way. It's beside Powerbooks, in front of b_connected, near Healthy Options, etc.. It's nothing new, I pass by Globe stores all the time but this one got my attention. 
It's really drooling! hahaha As for the price... I asked the sales lady on when is the availability of the Galaxy S. She told me it was available since June 3 on pre-order. And the price is: Php 31,000! She said that you can also avail of this phone at 0% interest on a 12-month payment. I also asked if when I will get the phone. She said that it's on "reservation with the source" and you can get the phone in 1-2 weeks. Now, I don't know if the price she said was on contract. I hope it isn't! I don't care if it's locked to Globe. I'm on Globe anyway. And on December, I hope they bundle the dock with the phone or something. And that dock! I hope it's gonna be cheaper than what I'm thinking. There's a lot of hoping going on here... hehe' Anyway, let's just hope wish for the best. A lot of Android goodness awaits our future ^^,

Yes, I am now an Android user and I love it!! Android 1.5 on my Samsung Galaxy Spica is almost as good as the iPhone exprience. I can't wait to update to Android 2.1! Samsung with Android isn't so bad in combination.. Anything with Windows Mobile is!! Damn, I wasted money with that Samsung Omnia II!! So slugish after 3 months use... That's another story and post. Anyway.... If only the Sony Ericson X10 is proven to have multi-touch then I'll upgrade to that this year. If not, then I'll wait for the Samsung Galaxy S price to go down.. (expected to cost around 40 to 45 PHP) or the rumored Motorola Shadow be official. The rumored specs makes me drool! LOL!!

After Villar wins the Google Trends search query, this time how many results do you think your candidate have? We're all here for the results right?
I really don't want to talk about politics as much as possible but when technology is involved, it's a different story. Most people don't know this Google service. It's called Google Trends. It graphs the number of search queries of a particular set of keywords in a given amount of time. I used the following keywords taken from the top 5 Presidential candidates taken from the PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE FOR THE 2010 ELECTIONS, PHILIPPINES survey in the NICKNAME SURNAME format. Of course, searching for 'villar' only or 'aquino' only will add irrelevant results as 'villar' is a Spanish term used across the globe and there are many 'aquino': kris, cory, and ninoy.
The people over there yonder China decided to rename a mountain reminiscent of the Pandora sky mountains to 'Avatar Hallelujah Mountain', from 'Southern Sky Column', in order to honor James Cameron's blockbuster garner some tourism.

And it's AMOLED! Another pluses here are digital compass, 802.11n, bundled 4GB, Android 2.1, and the 1GHz processor. (This processor is faster than my netbook lol) Take note though that this doesn't have a front-facing camera (like the iPhone) unlike other smartphones. Although who uses them anyway? I have had 3G phones with front facing camera since 2007 (k800i, k600i, w980i, Omnia II) and just used it once (k600i) back in 2007. And the OS is really fast and responsive. Have a look at these first videos: I had contacted Globe about this but they haven't replied to me. But come to think of it they are offering the iPhone so its competitor maybe out of the picture. Smart? Probably. This could be the iPhone killer some of us had been waiting for. Or maybe not. My reason why the iPhone could not have a real competitor is the responsiveness of the OS. I own an iPod touch and have used the iPhone. And currently owning an Omnia II. Even though the Omnia II has a faster processor and a bigger ram than my iPod touch, it's sluggish. Takes me 2-3 seconds to open the 3-page home page. Than the 1-2 seconds 4-pager iPod touch. And it's not just the home page, just about everywhere you are to open an app. Currently the Nexus One is not available in the Philippines but I hope it would be anytime sooner. I'll definitely buy one (or two) of these. And ditch my Omnia II. 
2010 marks the beginning of a new decade. Though every years is a start of something new, 2010 comes only once so we must make history. This will be my post for Be a Hero in 2010 Contest. It's my new year's resolution for the country. 1. I will not depend my life on the government. I will cultivate the society on my own. Ako mismo ba. 2. I will be an advocate to people who helps other before themselves. 3. I will vote wisely. ---- I'm tired of hearing those people who always blames the government for their mishaps. Please! Grow-up! Kung gusto nyong magkatrabaho magsikap kayong matanggap! Hindi na lang sinisisi ang gobyerno kung bakit wala silang trabaho. Try to be qualified for the work, for God's sake! TESDA has been promoting their work for scholarship program! They also give livelihood trainings, for FREE! You won't lose from gaining something. Help other help others. Tulungan ang mga taong tumutulong. Vote those candidates not for their cheesy TV ads but for their track records. Most of those candidates have had ample time to make their "visions" to reality while sitting at their positions, chairmans, senators, and all.
